Not to mention the glaring lack of...corn syrup and most other crap we tolerate or are forced to tolerate in our food back in US. When we flew back to vegas to get married etc..my poor husband was so sick from the food. He just kept saying stodgy, stodgy! over and over and over.
Then he could not get over the lack of pedestrian friendly places to walk.

I think that obesity has risen in the past 10 years or so because people in the UK use their cars much more than they used to - the increase in out-of-town shopping centres, etc, has contributed to this - and also many people take their children to school by car rather than walk.

I prefer walking wherever I am - I don't have a car at the moment, so it's good exercise (and it means that you don't have to do any more exercise!)
